I’m very excited to share with you today the news about new direct flights to Los Cabos, and increment in existing flights by Delta Airlines to our beautiful destination. This exciting news was shared Mr. Ruben Reachi Lugo, The Baja Sur Tourism Ministry in an interview to Al Cabo Noticias, Cabo Mil Radio.
One of the priorities of the State Administration in Tourism subject, has been to work in the increment of airline connectivity towards the different tourism destinations of Baja California Sur.
In the specific case of Delta Airlines, the General Director of the State Tourism Trust Luis Palacios mentioned that 7 new weekly flights between Salt Lake City and Los Cabos and the new addition of two new flights, one from San Diego with seven weekly frequencies and another one from Seattle with four weekly flights.
In total there will be 34 additional operations per week by Delta Airlines, going through from 14 to 48 which will represent between 25 and 30 thousands additional passengers per year for the benefit of the Tourism Sector.
Finally, the Ministry confirmed that they are working on new negotiations with the same airlines for different destinations such as La Paz and Loreto, and another negotiation in process for a new airline route from the John F Kennedy Airport in New York to Los Cabos, which will be able to announced in a short term, to the outstanding position of Los Cabos on the American East Coast.
