Los Cabos
Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor and the East Cape make up the entire municipality of Los Cabos. Cabo literally translates as, “Capes” and then the town defines the subsequent location. With over 30 miles of pristine beaches, world-class golf, hotels, resorts and some of the best eco-adventures and luxury real estate investments in the world today, this destination is a favorite destination worldwide.
A 23-mile highway, called the “Tourist Corridor” stretches from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas. Along this highway, you’ll find dozens of five-star and a diamond hotel with world-renowned restaurants, which have been known to lure A-list celebrities, professional athletes and the wealthy. In fact, many also own homes or villas in the area including George Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Michael Douglass including tens-of-thousands of North Americans and Europeans. Los Cabos resident population is actually made of up about 60% Mexicans and 40% foreigners.
Los Cabos is where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez at the southern-most tip of the Baja Peninsula, calls itself home to the famous “Arch” located at “Land’s End” while combining a traditional Mexican lifestyle with pop culture. During the winter in Los Cabos, you can admire one of the most beautiful natural phenomena to occur on Mexico’s coasts: the courtship, mating and birth process of the gray whales right around Cabo San Lucas.
